## Ingredients

- 2 cups greek yogurt
- 1 pint berries
- 1 cup granola
- Honey

## Instructions

1. Layer yogurt, berries, and granola in glasses.
2. Repeat the layers and drizzle with honey.

## Tips

- Add the granola immediately before eating. Even ten minutes against yoghurt turns it soft, which defeats the point of it being there.
- Use full-fat Greek yoghurt if you want the layers to hold. Thin or low-fat yoghurt slumps and everything bleeds together.
- Mash a spoonful of the berries and swirl it through the yoghurt. It colours and flavours the whole layer instead of sitting as a separate stratum.

## Substitutions

- **Greek yogurt:** Skyr is thicker and higher in protein. Coconut or almond yoghurt for dairy-free — pick a thick one. Regular yoghurt works but is much looser.
- **Berries:** Any fruit that isn't too wet: peach, mango, banana, roasted plums. Frozen berries work if thawed and drained.
- **Granola:** Toasted oats, chopped nuts, seeds, or crushed digestive biscuits — anything for crunch.
- **Honey:** Maple syrup for vegan, or nothing at all if the fruit is sweet enough.

## Storage & reheating

Assemble and eat. For the week ahead, layer yoghurt and fruit in jars — good for 3 days — and carry the granola separately to add at the last minute.

## Common questions

### Is this actually a healthy breakfast?

The yoghurt and fruit are, but granola is often closer to dessert than cereal — many are 20–30% sugar. Check the label, or use plain toasted oats and nuts.

### How do I stop the layers going watery?

Drain frozen or very juicy fruit first and use thick yoghurt. Watery layers are almost always the fruit, not the yoghurt.

### Can I make these the night before?

Yes, minus the granola. The yoghurt and fruit are fine overnight and the flavour improves.
